Ziad is an energy leader and entrepreneur focusing on endeavors that make impactful positive difference in businesses and in peoples’ lives.
He is the director of Physical Plant at the Lebanese American University (LAU) and the co-founder of OPUS energy
Ziad is a lifelong volunteer committed to serving humanitarian, social and environmental causes. At the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), he currently serves as the President-Elect of the board for 2026, and is the Co-founder and Past President of the AEE Lebanon Chapter.
As an energy expert, he has consulted for major international organizations, including the World Bank and the European Union.
An inspiring speaker and trainer on energy and sustainability, green buildings and leadership, Ziad is a certified trainer of international certifications (CEM, CBCP, CWEP, CAP, PCF, ISO 50001) and has contributed to the development of many of them. He also proudly developed the “Lead Your Life and Energy Career” training program.
His contributions have been recognized through several awards, including the “Energy Manager of the Year,” the “Best International Trainer,” and the “International Energy Professional Development” awards.
