For the second year, the Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES) held the Awards Ceremony of the Engineering Students Final Year Project Renewable Energy Contest on June 17, 2026, at the Order of Engineers and Architects in Beirut.

The initiative aims to encourage engineering students to develop and present innovative renewable energy projects.

During the ceremony, awards were presented to the winning teams:

• First Prize – Lebanese American University (LAU)
"Design of a Green Bus Route with Optimal Schedule, Bus Station and Solar-Powered Charging Facility for a Fleet of Battery Electric Buses Operating Between Beirut and Byblos"

• Second Prize – Lebanese University
"AI-Driven Optimization and Prediction of Concrete Block Compositions for Thermal and Structural Efficiency"

• Third Prize – Saint Joseph University – ESIB (USJ)
"Design and Optimization of Wave Energy Floaters for Sustainable Marine Power Generation"
